Orisun School of Hospitality, Ibadan
The school started in 1982 as Imoran Home Economics School in rented premises in 1982. In 1990 it moved to its permanent site and was approved by the Ministry of Education as Orisun School of Catering. In 2015, the Oyo State Board for Technical and Vocational Education approved the change of name to Orisun School of Hospitality.
Orisun offers admission to young girls to undertake a two years Certificate in Hospitality Operations. It is also starting the National Skill Qualification (NSQ) scheme in hospitality. Students are provided comprehensive knowledge of professional hospitality skills with personalized attention. The mission of Orisun is to give holistic education and formation to all women and young girls who come to the school, by providing professional, cultural, human and spiritual formation of the girls.
The school also runs clubs for secondary school girls within the school premises and in some public and private schools. Participants of such clubs engage in home making skills, cookery competitions, personality development sessions and many more.
